Hi there, I'm Haoyu!
I earned my Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and my Bachelor’s degree in Robotics Engineering from the Southern University of Science and Technology. I will be joining Boston University in Fall 2026 as a Ph.D. student in Systems Engineering. Currently, I am a Research Assistant in the FAST Lab at Zhejiang University under the supervision of Prof. Fei Gao, working on communication-denied drone swarm navigation and LiDAR-based perception. Previously, I was a Research Assistant in the MechE CERLAB UAV group at CMU under the supervision of Prof. Kenji Shimada, focusing on dynamic obstacle detection problems. I have a particular interest in the field of robotics, and my goal is to be an excellent robotics engineer and to make mobile robots faster, stronger, and higher!
